Anchoring in Croatia

Most Croatian bays have sand or sand-and-weed bottoms in 3 to 15 m, which hold well with adequate scope. Weed patches are the usual cause of a dragging anchor — set it, then back down hard and check the transit.

Anchoring is prohibited inside marina basins, in most national-park zones without a permit, and over marked cable and pipeline routes. Bova flags destinations where anchoring is forbidden on the destination page itself.
