Why Bova

Once a boat leaves the base, you're usually the last to know.

Phone calls, WhatsApp threads and a whiteboard on changeover day. Bova turns what your crews share from the water into one picture the whole base works from.

Fleet map

Every boat on charter, straight from your crews' phones.

See where they are, how far from base, and how fresh that position is — live, stale or no contact. Due back and overdue boats are one tap away.

Exposure watch

Know which crews are anchored in the wind.

Bova checks every boat's stop against the forecast. If the wind blows into an exposed bay now, the boat is flagged exposed; if it will in the next six hours, it goes on watch — so you call before the night gets rough.

Turnaround board

Changeover day on one tablet.

Every boat coming in and going out, step by step: arrived, checked, cleaned, ready, handed over. One tap moves a boat on, and the whole dock sees the same board.

Insights

Who sails with you, and where they go.

Crew sizes, trip lengths, nationalities, sailing experience, your busiest weeks and the bays your guests love — compared with the Bova average.

Boat QR stickers

One sticker links every crew to their boat.

Print a sticker for each boat straight from the dashboard. Guests scan it in the Bova app and report in one tap — and you can see which boats still need one.

How it works

A sticker on every boat. That's the whole setup.

No trackers to fit and nothing to charge. Your crews bring the phones.

  1. Add your fleet, print the stickers

We load your boats. You print one sticker per boat from the dashboard and put it by the chart table.

  2. Crews scan and come aboard

The skipper scans the sticker in the free Bova app and the crew joins the trip, with the boat already filled in.

  3. Your dashboard comes alive

Positions and berth reports from your crews' phones land on your Today screen, fleet map and turnaround board.

  • Sail with confidence — weather, wind exposure and a protection score for every stop.
  • Pick the next bay together — the whole crew votes from their phones.

FAQ

Questions from charter bases.

No. Each boat gets a printed QR sticker, and your crews use the free Bova app on their own phones. While a crew shares their location, the app sends the boat's position from those phones.

The skipper scans the boat sticker in the Bova app and invites the crew. After that they just use Bova for their holiday: checking marinas and anchorages and filing quick reports when they arrive.

Close to it, with the crew in control. While they share their location, the Bova app sends their phone's position in the background, and any crew member can pause sharing in the app. You see each boat's last known position and how fresh it is, marked live, stale or no contact, so you can see at a glance which boats to check on.
